I’ve been asked which 5 engagement ring designs are my favourite.
This is a really tough question to answer, as we have made thousands of beautiful engagement rings over the years.
the easiest way to answer would be to choose which are my favourite engagement ring designs at this very moment.
Engagement ring 1
Solitaire Engagement Ring
One stone in a claw setting with a fine band and set not too high but also not so low that the ring looks flat.
I prefer a white metal for this design eg Platinum, white gold or palladium.
I like a fine band with this design as it accentuates the diamond and makes it the centre of attraction.
Its also timeless and I’m a big fan of engagement ring styles that don’t fade in popularity to easily.
This design also looks great with smaller diamonds running down the band for a little extra bling.
Engagement ring 2
Halo Engagement Ring.
This ring can be designed in many shapes ranging from round, oval, square, cushion etc
It’s a popular choice when the centre diamond is a little smaller as the diamond halo really adds a beautiful frame to the centre stone.
This style allows a straight wedding band to fit perfectly.
It’s a versatile and elegant design.
I like this design in either a white gold/platinum or in a two-tone combination using yellow and white or rose and white gold.
Engagement ring 3
Trilogy Engagement Ring
Elegant and classic. A timeless engagement ring design that has been around for ages.
It involves 3 diamonds with the centre stone usually being bigger then the 2 side stones.
There are many variations of this classic design. Diamonds can be used in combination with other gemstones and the halo effect can also be incorporated around the 3 stones if a fuller effect is desired.
My favourite shape stone for this design is the round cut but we have used many different shaped stones over the years with great results.
Engagement ring 4
Split band Engagement Ring
This is a classic but very versatile design and can be used in combination with the halo or solitaire designs.
It gives the band a fuller appearance without adding an overly bulky look.
Great for adding a band as it will fit flush with the engagement ring.
Smaller diamonds are often used on the split band to give it an elegant vintage appeal.
Engagement ring 5
Solitaire Engagement Ring with a Vintage-Style Band
This design has a classic style claw setting for the diamond, but the band is scalloped in various ways.
It can be done with a cross over design and finished off with small diamonds in a pave and millgrain style.
This design has many possible variations and has a wonderful vintage appeal.
